Thank you IRS. Usually, I am none too happy with having to pay taxes. I have issues with everything that is taken out of my paycheck every two weeks. Healthcare... I can understand. That's needed and that's always going to be there in case you get hurt and you have to go to the hospital. I can see that you keep paying into the healthcare for that reason, because it can be expensive. Social security, that's a whole different topic for me. I get social security.... back in 1935 when Roosevelt signed that into law. Social security is big... for my grandparents and my parents potentially, but I don't think it will be there for us and people my age. The nation is already so far into debt with the social security and the number of people eligible for social security keeps rising, the people in the working world will not be able to keep up with the money being distributed. This is a heated discussion that can be talked about on another post... never I'm sure.
Anyways, back to the IRS. I just had to pay into the Oklahoma Treasury Department because I moved and didn't make all my money in OK, so there went, I think it was 56 dollars. Then just last week, I had to ammend my tax return from 2006 because me and my dad both claimed me as a dependent. So I had to pay 236 dollars to the Federal Treasury Department. But luckily, how economy is so bad at the moment that the Federal government is going further into debt in order to boost our economy and they are giving us money to go spend. Tell you what I'm sure 43% of Americans are going to be doing with that money.... paying off credit cars, loans, etc. I'm saving mine, putting it into savings.
I am going to Vegas in a couple of weeks and thought about putting all 600 dollars of my stimulus check on black 8 in roulette. If I hit that number, I'd win 21,000 dollars.... jackpot. In ya face!
